Challenge
A leading bank in its region faces significant challenges related to the high time and effort required to extract and transform customer information from Excel files. This approach is not only costly but also limits the scalability and flexibility of its operations.
The data extracted from Excel files was used in reports created through Excel, supported by Power Pivot and pivot tables. Its use presented several difficulties, such as restricted accessibility and the complexity of maintaining and updating reports. This reliance on manual and non-scalable processes affected the bank's ability to generate reports quickly and efficiently.
Solution
To address the challenges faced by the company, we implemented a solution based on migrating existing Excel reports to Power BI, which allowed for the creation of interactive and customized dashboards accessible at different levels of the organization.
With this solution, the bank not only optimized report generation but also improved strategic decision-making by having access to more agile, scalable, and easy-to-maintain data analyses.
We worked on assessing the current architecture, identifying the deficient points. We created and implemented a strategy that allowed for the development of the new data architecture and reporting suite without impacting the client or causing downtime.
